The night operations are being reorganized and restarted in different geographical areas - and you can be a part of this exciting change!

As a nursing assistant, you make a difference – every day. You provide support, service, and care to individuals, primarily the elderly, who need your help to manage their daily lives. Your work is about creating safety, dignity, and quality of life. In this role, you meet people with different needs, and sometimes individuals living with mental health issues or substance abuse problems. This requires both sensitivity and a professional approach – and gives you the opportunity to positively impact people's lives.

The home care service in Uddevalla municipality is investing in the future by continuously developing and implementing digital solutions. Our goal is to allow individuals receiving home care to stay at home as long as possible – with safety and quality in their daily lives. As an employee, you will receive your own work phone as an important tool for communication and planning.

Job responsibilities

  • Create a safe everyday life for our clients through good care and support.
  • The support may vary based on individual needs and wishes. It can involve assisting with personal care, preparing meals, walking, and cleaning.
  • We work based on the individual's needs in focus (IBIC) and structured documentation. You will therefore document events related to clients and write implementation plans.
  • You will also perform health and medical tasks as delegated by a nurse.

About the position

As a nursing assistant in home care during the night, you are a key person in creating safety and dignity for our clients during the night. You provide professional care and support where it is needed most, and become part of an engaged team with an important mission – to make a difference every night. During the night, staff drives between visits to our clients, and the basic rule is that you always travel two together in a car to ensure safety for both clients and staff. The position primarily involves night shifts, with some evening shifts. Upon request, there is also the possibility of day shifts when the operations allow. You will work every other weekend.

You will:

  • Belong to one of four geographical areas in Uddevalla.
  • Collaborate with the emergency alarm system to quickly provide help in acute needs.
  • Contribute to the development of night operations together with colleagues and management.
  • Strengthen the integrated care by combining home care day and night, to ensure continuity and wholeness in the care provided to clients.

Qualifications

  • Trained nursing assistant.
  • At least 1 year of experience working in home care.
  • Holds a B driver's license and can drive in all weather and road conditions.

Other

The position is a rotational position.

For positions where a license/valid proof from the National Board of Health and Welfare for protected professional title is required, this must be submitted before employment.

Language assessment is conducted for certain professional groups before employment can be considered.

Criminal record checks are conducted for all positions within the social services.

For positions within HVB operations, an extract from the HVB home is requested.

For positions aimed at children with disabilities, extracts regarding children with disabilities and verification of personal information are requested.

For other positions within social services, an extract of personal information verification is requested.

If the extract is not digital, it must be brought in an unopened envelope during the verification.

Employment is subject to the necessary decisions being made.
